The planned courses aim to train the following professional figures   able to:

  • demonstrate advanced skills for laboratory and field activities, as well as a high ability to communicate acquired knowledge;

  • carry out targeted investigations on specific interdisciplinary issues;

  • carry out professional and interdisciplinary research activities in companies, institutions.

Laurea magistrale     By the end of the training, graduates will have acquired a high level of

qualification in the field of environmental, territorial and building structures diagnostics, e   will be able to:

  • develop and use specific physical and mathematical tools for applications to the study, monitoring and modeling of territorial systems and geophysical phenomena, related to the evaluation of the safety of the territory;

  • play a coordinating role in different disciplinary procedures   involved in the construction of damage scenarios (Applied Geophysics, Seismic Engineering, Applied Geology, Electronics, Robotics, ... ..);

  • combining multidisciplinary theoretical knowledge and technical-professional skills in assessing the susceptibility to damage of territorial systems;

  • analyze the social and economic context of territorial systems to develop project ideas;  

  • carry out professional and interdisciplinary research activities in companies, institutions, research centers.

The activities of the doctorate are coordinated by professors and researchers belonging to different scientific disciplinary sectors.

The student will carry out his interdisciplinary research project within a research group extended to several universities belonging to at least two countries, carrying out study periods abroad,  _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ on the basis of the mobility programs of teachers and students prepared by the HENSE School.

Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the training process, the course is divided into the following scientific-disciplinary areas:

The expected impact, in terms of employment and economic development of the territory, can be identified with the promotion of targeted expeditious and / or rigorous survey protocols,    finalized to evaluation of the security detractors of elements of the territory and their monitoring, which   will allow a verification of the criticality levels of the territorial system and a concrete identification of the priority levels of the interventions recovery.

In this context, the use of innovative professional figures, with specific experience in environmental and territorial diagnostics and safety,    in professional, entrepreneurial and institutional sectors will also allow to develop greater awareness of the extent of territorial risks and a contextual development of a culture of prevention aimed at planning the sustainable development of the community.
